2016諾獎得主鮑勃·迪倫：不必多想了 這沒什麼
2016年諾獎文學獎頒給了美國音樂人鮑勃-迪倫，表彰其「在偉大的美國歌曲傳統中創造了新的詩歌表達」。
「搖滾樂對我來說是不夠的。它們朗朗上口、有強烈的節奏，並且讓你很high，但是不夠嚴肅，不能現實地反映生活。當我接觸到民謠時，這是更為嚴肅的音樂。那些歌曲有更多沮喪、更多哀傷、更多對超自然的信仰、更深層的感受……生活太複雜了，以致搖滾樂不能反映出來。」by鮑勃·迪倫
「民謠場景和爵士場景是非常緊密的。詩人讀詩時，我會在底下聆聽。我的歌曲與其說是受到書本上的詩影響，不如說更是受到詩人在現場搭配爵士樂的朗讀的影響。」by鮑勃·迪倫
迪倫在1959年讀到凱魯亞克，也讀到從巴黎空運來的另一本垮掉的一代的著作《裸體午餐》（美國禁止發行）。他說：「我完全愛上垮掉的一代、波希米亞、咆哮那群人，這全都是聯繫在一起的。」凱魯亞克、金斯堡、柯索（Corso）、費林格提（Ferlinghetti），他們是如此神奇……他們對我的影響就如同貓王對我的影響一樣。」

雖然「Blowing in the Wind」的時代背景是越戰時期的美國社會，但是這首歌的意境卻可以說是「放諸四海而皆準」，同時始終深受世界各地人們的喜愛。當東歐與中東各地戰火頻傳、當國人為政府與某些民間企業的不當措施採取激烈抗爭手段的時候，總是令人不禁又想起這首歌曲。解決爭端的方法其實顯而易見，就像是飛揚在風中一樣，只是有幾人肯去傾聽呢？ 這首歌也在電影《阿甘正傳》中出現過。
