美國歷史學會發布2017年度獎項，《新越南史》獲費正清獎

當地時間10月10日，美國歷史學會（American Historical Association）公布了2017年度獲獎名單，各獎項將於2018年1月4-7日在華盛頓舉行的第132屆美國歷史學會年會上頒出。國內學術界關注的費正清獎（The John K. Fairbank Prize），本年度由加拿大魁北克大學歷史系教授Christopher Goscha的新書《新越南史》（Vietnam: A New History）獲得。歷史學家終生成就獎的兩位獲得者為耶魯大學教授約翰·梅里曼（John Merriman）和賓夕法尼亞大學教授理查德·鄧恩（Richard S. Dunn），前者專治法國和現代歐洲史，耶魯公開課「1871年後的法國」即由他講授，後者同樣致力於歐洲史研究，由其著寫的《現代歐洲史：宗教戰爭的年代（1559-1715）》去年底由中信出版社出版中文譯本。

此外，2017年度的約翰·E·奧康納電影獎（The John E. O』Connor Film Award），獲獎影片是《瓊斯的自由國度》（2016）和紀錄片《我不是黑奴》（I Am Not Your Negro）（2016）。以下是今年的獲獎名單。
