Isn"t that a good thing? The draft doesn"t discriminate which conference you are from. The Blazers shouldn"t be screwed out of a contending team built around Lillard just because the East sucks. They have good ownership, a good GM, good players, etc. If they were "rewarded", that only helps the league. The only teams that would be salty are terribly run organizations who tanked on purpose.

這樣子的選秀其實不是一件好事嗎？選秀不會因為你是西區的球隊就對你格外加關照，也不會因為你是東區的球隊就拉低你的簽位。就因為東部太爛，都是墊底的球隊選秀順位高，所以圍繞利拉德建隊的開拓者就失去了拿到白菜價的潛力球員從而邁入爭冠行列的機會。他們有非常好的老闆，經理，球員等等。如果他們能因此而受到選秀權的獎勵，這其實就是在幫助整個聯盟。到時候，要是開拓者這樣的球隊真的拿到了狀元簽，出來酸的肯定會是那些故意擺爛的、經營不善的球隊。

Rewarding borderline teams makes absolutely no sense, that would pretty much just create two tiers of teams where it gets harder and harder for the lower teams to compete every year as it gets increasingly harder to compete.

Id say thats alnost a good thing. Stops teams from being stuck on the dreaded "treadmill of mediocrity". That means that teams have even less of an incentive to tank and the overall quality of the NBA goes up

Which is why the lottery should be full random, all teams that miss the playoffs. No incentive to ever tank. Sometimes good players go to okay teams. More pressure on actually building a team and making good gm decisions.

Yea the only cons I can think of is that the 7/8 seeds would tank to try and avoid getting spanked+get those lotto balls. This problem will be hard to get around.

Also teams that are terrible will have a harder time improving, but sucks to suck. Think this is not as big of a problem. If a team isnt trying to tank and is consistently at the bottom, nobody to really blame but the FO

這個樂透抽籤制度是好事，我唯一能想到的壞處就是第七或第八種子球隊可能會想著擺爛從而避免被虐，然後又能獲得樂透秀的抽籤。這個問題會比較難解決。

而且糟糕的球隊會有一段更加困難的提升期，但擺爛就是得爛。這也不是什麼大問題。如果一個球隊不嘗試去擺爛還一直處在墊底，那真的只能去怪他們的管理層了。

I just don"t think you could decide to tank while in position to make the playoffs. The players and coaches are still always trying their hardest. They still want to win. Fans would go crazy if suddenly owners were sitting starters. Plus you make money and get good exposure when you make the plsyoffs. All for just a small chance at a good pick anyway.
