一、我國科研團隊率先完成菊花基因組測序

簡介:近日,中國中醫科學院中藥研究所和安利植物研發中心宣布,由該聯合團隊發起的菊花全基因組計劃取得重大進展,利用納米孔測序技術突破複雜基因組測序,該團隊在世界首次完成了菊屬植物菊花的全基因組測序,並完成了重要的藥用菊花品種——杭白菊的全長轉錄組遺傳信息發掘。相關研究成果和基因組數據已在中國中醫科學院中藥研究所官網及安利植物研發中心學術研究網站公布,並向全世界研究菊花的學術團隊和非盈利組織免費開放。

四、Next-Generation GRACE Satellites Arrive at Launch Site

簡介:Following a year-long test campaign by satellite manufacturer Airbus Defence and Space at IABG in Ottobrunn, near Munich, Germany, the twin Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment Follow-On (GRACE-FO) satellites were loaded aboard an air freighter at Munich airport Dec. 11 and arrived at the launch site on California』s central coast Tuesday, Dec. 12. GRACE-FO will provide continuity to the Earth climate data record of the extremely successful predecessor GRACE, which completed its science mission in October after more than 15 years in orbit.

八、Complex, old-growth forests may protect some bird species in a warming climate

簡介:A team led by Matthew Betts, professor in the College of Forestry, reached their conclusions by analyzing data for bird populations, forest structure and climate across northwestern North America. The researchers used satellite imagery to determine the amount of old-growth forest within about 450 yards of each 25-mile-long bird survey route.

九、去產能全年目標提前超額完成 地條鋼出清1.4億噸產能

簡介:以廢舊鋼鐵為原材料,由工頻、中頻感應電爐冶煉,劣質低質,在生產過程中造成大量污染,被用於建築時會埋下安全隱患,還對市場帶來「劣幣驅逐良幣」的負面影響——危害極大、人人喊打的「地條鋼」,多年來打擊而未絕。2017年,這一長期擾亂鋼鐵市場的「鴉片」,在去產能的高壓態勢之下,終於被徹底清零。據國家統計局新聞發言人劉愛華介紹,到10月份,1.4億噸「地條鋼」產能已經出清。

十、Tracing a plant"s steps: Following seed dispersal using chloroplast DNA

簡介:Researchers have developed a new tool to sequence chloroplast DNA from hundreds of plants at once, to learn more about how plant populations move. This tool, CallHap, makes it cheaper and easier to sequence the chloroplast genomes of large numbers of plants and accurately track seed dispersal across landscapes.
