The NBA may one day again be dominated by a LeBron James.

If the early highlights are any indication, LeBron James" son, LeBron James Jr., has a bright future in basketball.

At 12 years old, in various highlight videos that can be found around the internet, James Jr. already has a natural feel for the game, splitting defenders to hit open teammates with on-the-mark passes, attacking the basket, and pulling up from deep.

In fact, at a recent tournament, LeBron James praised his son"s passing and said certain aspects of his game are better than his when he was 12

LeBron hasn"t been thrilled with the early recruiting, saying, "It"s pretty crazy. It should be a violation. You shouldn"t be recruiting 10-year-old kids."

Jordan also didn"t spend much time nurturing them or helping them grow. He got divorced when they were still pretty young, I remember reading an interview with Jeffrey Jordan a few years back saying he didn"t see as much of MJ as he wanted since then, and they didn"t really have a close relationship. Also with MJs mentality, it must"ve been stressful playing being the son of him.

LeBron on the other hand seems to be much more hands on and around all the time and seems like a very big part of his kids lives. I imagine the upbringing would help that out quite a bit.

My brother coached one of Jordans sons during a summer league at UNC many years ago. My brother told me the kid probably could have successfully played D1 ball if he tried harder but the kid just didn"t seem to take it seriously (and there is nothing wrong with that).

So for what it is worth perhaps knowing there is already millions of dollars for you or knowing you might put in all that effort just to probably miss out on the NBA meant it just wasn"t worth it for him.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but don"t you think Lebron is more involved and is taking his kids future career more seriously than Jordan did with his kids? Also, Jordan"s sons growing up in the 90"s vs Lebrons son growing up now, there are a lot of different technological advances and techniques that can help Lebron son develop even more
