LaVar Ball 解釋 Lonzo Ball 簽名鞋貴過 Air Jordan 之緣由

要說上周最受鞋迷熱議的話題，當數 2017 NBA 熱門狀元 Lonzo Ball 以自家品牌名義推出首款簽名鞋 ZO2，不僅成為史上第一位擁有簽名鞋的未選秀球員，更以 $495 美元的超高售價而引發不小爭議，畢竟這個價格比 LeBron James，Kevin Durant 和 Stephen Curry 三人的簽名鞋售價總和還要貴，更別提籃球鞋的龍頭老大 Jordan Brand 了。最近熱衷「炒作」的球員父親 LaVar Ball 在作客 FS1 節目《Undisputed》時解釋了 ZO2 比 Air Jordan 鞋款更貴的原因，在他看來Michael Jordan沒能在菜鳥賽季之前就擁有一雙價值 $100 美元的簽名鞋，是因為他不是 Lonzo Ball，NBA 正在進入一個新的紀元叫作「Ball Era」，並且 ZO2 已經是球鞋歷史上的里程碑之作。

I』m gonna tell you again, did [Jordan] have his own brand when he came in? It』s a new era, called the Ball Era. That [ZO2] shoe is symbolic already on the fact that he』s coming in on his own brand. Nobody』s ever done that.
