The play maybegin atany moment, I said. It may have begun already, Susan answered.

"劇馬上就要開演了，"我說。

"也許已經開演了呢，"蘇珊回答說。

I hurried to the ticket office. May I have twotickets please? I asked. I m sorry, we vesold out, the girl said.

我匆匆趕到售票處，問："我可以買兩張票嗎？" ~"對不起，票已售完。" 那位姑娘說。~

What apity! Susan exclaimed. Just then, a man hurried to the ticket office.

"真可惜！"蘇珊大聲說。正在這時，一個男子匆匆奔向售票處。

Can Ireturn these two tickets? he asked. Certainly, the girl said.

"我可以退掉這兩張票嗎？"他問。"當然可以，"那姑娘說。

I went back to the ticket office at once. Could I have those two tickets please? I asked.

我馬上又回到售票處。"我可以買那兩張票嗎？"我問。

Certainly, the girl said, but they re for next Wednesday s performance. Do you still want them? I might as well have them, I said sadly.

"當然可以，不過這兩張票是下星期三的，您是否還要呢？" ~ "我還是買下的好，" 我垂頭喪氣地說。

Why is fishing the writer s favourite sport

釣魚是那作家最喜愛的運動 ?

Fishing is my favourite sport. I often fish for hours withoutcatching anything.

釣魚是我特別喜愛的一項運動。我經常一釣數小時卻一無所獲。

But this does not worry me. Some fishermen are unlucky.

但我從不為此煩惱。有些垂釣者就是不走運，

Instead of catching fish, they catch old boots and rubbish.I ameven less lucky.

他們往往魚釣不到，卻釣上來些舊靴子和垃圾。我的運氣甚至還不及他們。

I never catch anything -- not even old boots. After having spent wholemornings onthe river, I always go homewith anempty bag.

我什麼東西也未釣到過 -- 就連舊靴子也沒有。我總是在河上呆上整整一上午，然後空著袋子回家。

You mustgive upfishing! my friends say. It s awaste oftime. But they don t realize one important thing.
