杜蘭特是高出手次數中非常高效的得分手：場均30分，命中率分別為50/40/90。

他能從任何地方得分——運球後得分，接球投籃，無球跑位，三分，外線得分，運球突破，低位單打，等等。

處於平均水準以上的運球能力讓他能夠創造自己的得分機會，或是給隊友創造空位。

顯著進步的防守技巧。

高籃球智商，這轉變成了更好的傳球，閱讀場上的進攻和防守，等等。

同時，既然成為最強需要超越其他的球員，那麼就讓我們看看面對勒布朗時——人們公認的聯盟最好球員——他的表現吧。今年每當他倆交手時，KD在場上都能持續的教勒布朗做人（就算是在2012年總決賽，KD也在命中率為50%的情況下場均30分）。而今年的總決賽中，KD對於勒布朗的統治則顯得更加突出。進攻端，KD在三分線外，低位單打中，運球突破上籃時，外線單打里都能輕鬆的在勒布朗頭上得分，而且通過機敏靈活的無球空切讓勒布朗付出了代價，後者總是被KD甩出一到兩步遠的距離。在另外一端，KD在本質上鎖死了勒布朗，我從來沒有看到過勒布朗在得分上如此的掙扎，就算是和杜蘭特卡位時，他也顯得非常難受（勒布朗對陣倫納德時我都沒有看到這樣的場景）。在今年總決賽他倆的對位中，勒布朗要麼就是投籃被蓋，或者便是被迫著出手糟糕的投籃，以及送出糟糕的傳球，因為杜蘭特的高度和防守技巧真的煩惱到了他。

不服來辯，讓我們來一場有深度和禮節的討論吧。

Elite high-volume efficient scorer: 30ppg on 50/40/90 split

He can score from everywhere - off the dribble, catch and shoot, off ball movement, three point, perimeter, dribble penetration, low post, etc.

Above-average functional ball-handling which allows him to create his own plays or open up teammates

Much-improved defensive skills

High basketball IQ, which translates to better passing, reading of offense and defense schemes, etc.

And, since we are talking about overcoming other players in becoming the best, let us consider how he has played against the Lebron, who people consider as the best in the leagues. He has consistently schooled Lebron this year every time they met (and even in the 2012 finals where he averaged 30ppg on 50%). This finals highlighted his dominance over Lebron so much, offensively, he effortlessly scores over Lebron from beyond the arc, on post ups, off the dribble lay-ups, in the perimeter, and has made Lebron pay with sneaky off the ball cuts where Lebron is always left a couple of steps late to catch him. On the other hand, Durant has essentially locked down Lebron. Never have I seen Lebron struggle so much with his points and even positioning than against Durant (even considering Kawhi). In their matchups this finals, he is either blocked, forced to make bad shoots, of forced to make bad passes because Durants length and defensive skills are really bothering him.

Change my view. Lets have an in-depth and polite discussion.

He didn"t beat the warriors just one year ago with the current MVP of the league, and LeBron did.

Just because he looks great now alonside these amazing offensive talents doesn"t mean he"s better than LeBron.

Man KD shot 12-31 and 10-31 in consecutive losses. That"s pathetic for a top 5 scorer ever. Russ played bad too but it wasn"t like KD was some helpless spectator.

Why is Kd absolved from all of the blame? He was also a leader of that team. They had 3 chances to win and didn"t. Period.

He"s had a career high eFG%, TS%, and BPG all of which were significantly higher than his previous highest on the Thunder.

He"s scoring 1-2 points less but he"s doing so on better efficiency and with better interior defense.

Of course he is. He is surrounded by what was was already one of the best teams of all time. He is going to shoot less but more efficiently and spread his wings because he has less responsibility. Context matters.
