Doctor:Sit down, please. What』s troubling you?

Patient:I often have vertigoes, dizziness and fatigue.

我經常感到頭暈，眼花和疲勞。

Doctor:How long have you been feeling like this?

有多長時間了？

Patient:About a month.

一個月左右。

Doctor:Did you have a fever?

你有發燒嗎？

Patient:Yes, and I faint from time to time.

Doctor:Well, let me take your temperature.

Patient:Do I have a temperature, doctor?

醫生，我有熱度嗎？

Patient:Yes, I have a pain in my sternum when I press it hard.

Doctor:You』d better have a blood test, the laboratory is on the second floor.

Patient:What』s the result, doctor?

醫生，化驗結果怎麼樣？

Doctor:The laboratory report is not so good. It showed leukocytosis, thrombocytopenia and anemia. There are some blast cells in the peripheral blood. I think you have to take bone marrow examination.

血象報告的結果不太好，白細胞計數增高，血小板減少，且有貧血，周圍血中發現幼稚細胞。我看你得做骨髓象檢查。

Patient:Does the bone marrow examination have any complication?

骨髓象檢查有合并症嗎？

Doctor:It is safe and no complication. It should help the diagnosis of diseases.

這種檢查很安全，無合并症，它有助於疾病的診斷。

Patient:Is my condition serious, doctor?

醫生，我的病嚴重嗎？

Doctor:Don』t worry about that. A variety of diseases can cause anemia or thrombocytopenia, such as aplastic anemia, acute leukemia, macrocytic anemia, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria and so on. You should be treated soon when the diagnosis is clear.

別擔心，有很多疾病可以出現貧血或血小板減少，如再生障礙性貧血、急性白血病、巨幼細胞性貧血、陣發性睡眠性血紅蛋白尿等。把診斷搞清楚後，馬上給你治病。

Patient:Would you tell me what trouble do I suffer from, doctor?

Doctor:According to the symptoms and laboratory findings, your disease may be diagnosed as acute leukemia.
