攝影只能拍攝此刻與當下，但是我想捕捉到千年前的過去。透過現實的景觀，衝破種種重圍，尋覓到過去的詩意，復活歷史的存在。創造一種基於現實生活的影像考古學。

我居住的這個地方，現在叫西安，在古代，稱為長安。

這裡曾經是中國13個朝代的古都，這裡也是曾經絲綢之路的起點，連接著中國的文明與西方。然而，這個輝煌的城市在千年之後不可避免地衰落了，除了大雁塔和城樓，我們看不到任何三百年以上地面的建築。所有歷史的廢墟都被埋在了土裡，經歷了千年的戰亂與饑荒，這個城市從過去的輝煌中消失了。現在的長安，是中國一個普通的城市，城市的規模不大，經濟不算髮達，還有點蕭條。我希望用攝影的這個方式來捕捉到過去與現實的對撞。

它由兩部分組成：古典與現在。兩千年前帝王宮殿、陵墓的廢墟與現在的城市和村莊並列著，這裡的過去與現實似乎完全不同，充滿了裂縫，但在某時某刻又會神奇地重逢。唐詩、宗教、傳奇，無數的戰亂和饑荒，毀棄而又重建。出門，每一條大路小路，東西南北，每一處，每一個方向，都通向一處遺址或廢墟。

I live in this place, now called Xi an, known as the ancient Chang an.

Here are the ancient capital of China s 13 dynasties, including four dynasties in China s highest dynasty, Zhou, Qin, Han, Tang. They were built here, Feng-ho, Xianyang, Chang an and other ancient relics in the city are all under the dust. Here is also the starting point of the Silk Road, which connected Chinese civilization to Central Asia and the West. However, this glorious city inevitably declined in the past millennium. Except the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the tower, we do not see any old building on the ground. All the ruins of history have been buried in the earth, through thousands years war and famine, the city from the glory of the past disappeared. Now the Chang an, is an ordinary city .The city is not large, and the economy is not developed, even a little depression. I want to use photography in this way to capture the past and the reality of the collision.

It consists of two parts: classical and present. Two thousand years ago the imperial palace, the tomb of the ruins and the present city and village tied, where the past and the reality seems completely different, full of cracks, but in a certain moment will be a magical reunion. Tang poetry, religion, legend, countless war and famine, destruction and reconstruction. Go out, every road path, east and west, every place, every direction, all leading to a site or ruins.

Photography can only shoot at the moment, but I want to capture the past millennium ago. Through the reality of the landscape, break through all kinds of tight encirclement, to find the past poetic, resurrection history. Create a image-archeology by the real-life.
