Build a Time Management System with CORD 利用CORD構建一個時間管理系統

If you are like most people, you probably have a never ending flow of work to do. New tasks come in before you even have time to finish the old ones. People push you to get more things done and much faster. Hours, days and weeks seem to disappear in a dazzling busy rush.

如果你像大多數人一樣，你很可能也有一份永不停止的工作，因為在你還沒有來得及完成之前的工作新的任務就接踵而至，人們會督促你完成更多的工作，並且更快的完成。日復一日你以為這一切會消失在眼花繚亂的繁忙中。

Working under such conditions, it s impossible to just be reactive all the time. If we said yes to every single request we d end up committing to so many tasks at one time that we wouldn t have time to complete any of them.

A systematic approach is required to survive under these conditions. And it s much easier to build such an approach then you might think. It simply requires following four key steps;

Collect

Organise

Review

Do

跟隨以下這四個步驟，你會發現構建這樣的時間管理系統方法非常簡單；

Collecting means having a place to store incoming tasks and information. A notepad might work for some things, maybe you need a bowl on your kitchen table to collect odd things such as car keys, and maybe a filing tray on your desk to collect bills that need to be paid. The purpose of collecting things is to get them out of your incredibly unreliable memory and into the world around you. The more you depend on the world around you for remembering things, the less things you will forget.

收集意味著有個地方能存貯進來的任務和信息,一個記事本就可以完成這個工作，舉個例子；也許你需要碟子放在廚房的桌子上幫你收集特別的東西，就像車鑰匙。可能一個文件夾可以收集你需要付款的賬單。這個收集的目的是為了，讓這些工作快速的從你不可靠的記憶中提出來，顯示在你的周圍環境中。這些工作越多的外露被你看見，你就會越少的忘記事情。

Organising means placing those things that are sitting in your various collection boxes and putting them into neat categories. You might have different folders on your email inbox for things that need to be processed within the next week, interesting articles friends have sent you and urgent requests from your boss. You might do something similar with the tasks that come in. The purpose of this is to avoid overwhelming your collection boxes and move everything into and easily referenceable category.

組織的意思是吧你要做的工作整理到不同類型的文件夾里，讓他們按部就班。在你的郵箱里可能有不同的文件，需要下周處理，有來自朋友同事的，也有來自老闆的緊急需求，你可以用類似的方法來處理你的工作任務，這個目的是為了避免大量的工作被淹沒，而方便尋找。

Reviewing means exactly that; reviewing what needs to be done. As you look at the different categories of things you analyse what needs to be done at what time. You can then schedule it on your calendar and tackle things one by one.

回顧的意思是，再次確認你需要做的事，分析這些分門別類的事情需要什麼時間做哪件，然後加入你的日曆再一件一件處理。

And finally, with everything setup according to the previous steps, the one last thing you need to do is exactly that, do them.

然後，按照前面的步驟都整理好了，最後就是一件事一件事完成它們。
