If that OKC team sticks together and wins titles, the Warriors very likely don"t become the 73-win juggernaut that beats OKC in the playoffs - Durant doesn"t switch teams because he is already part of a dynasty. The Thunder, not the Warriors, are the dominant team of the era and we aren"t having legitimate discussions about "2017 Warriors vs. 1996 Bulls".

The Warriors would probably still be a 73 win juggernaut, they drafted Draymond, Klay, and Steph. But they wouldn"t get K.D. as the Thunder would definitely have won titles by the time the Warriors became a 73 win team. I honestly think the Thunder with KD, Harden, and Westbrook may have been able to win 72+ games at some point. I know people beat a dead horse but honestly it is the worst trade in NBA history.

what"s hilarious is the thunder destroyed a team that would have eventually had 3 of the top 5 players in the league, just to save some money, less than 5 years later they instead will have a top 5 payroll anyway for a team no one thinks can win the west.

There were more offers before that -- rumors were he was willing to take the $6m less if it meant he would be the starter. His team wasn"t going to budge on the max if he was to continue as a 6th man.

The call in question did come in with the 2 hour ultimatum as stated in the interview. But it wasn"t like it was the first offer his team had received from OKC.
