美國巡演回顧 / U.S. Tour Review

今年6月，乒乓策劃攜中國當代編舞藝術家古佳妮及其十口無團前往美國西海岸和紐約進行了為期一個月的巡迴演出。古佳妮通過她的作品《右一左一》表現了對人際關係意義的探索，也提出了有關我們為什麼會相愛、我們如何去愛等問題。作品中舞者古佳妮和王宣淇扣人心弦、錯綜複雜的影子舞蹈，以及阿平的投影藝術都令觀眾驚嘆不已。

本次巡演也讓美國觀眾首次欣賞到了這個來自中國的現代舞團新星的精彩表演。作品《右一左一》一路巡演了西海岸的舊金山國際藝術節、西雅圖國際舞蹈節、洛杉磯亨丁頓藝術及植物博物館，以及紐約傑克劇場。

During the month of June, Ping Pong Productions was honored to bring China s rising star female choreographer and powerhouse, Gu Jiani, across the West Coast and to NYC.

While on herfirst major American tour,Gu Jiani dazzled and disturbed audiences with her moving work"Right & Left"- a complex shadow dance performed by Gu, dancer Wang Xuanqi, and projection artist Ping, which exploresthe meaning of human relationships, looking at why we fall in love, and how we keep those relationships from destroying who we are.

This tour was afirst-time opportunityfor US audiences to see one of China s most exciting new dance companies.

"Right & Left"performed atthe San Francisco International Arts Festival, Seattle International Dance Festival, Huntington Gardens & Library in Los Angeles,andthe New York City JACK Theatrethroughout the month of June.

古佳妮簡介 / About Gu Jiani

古佳妮，編舞/舞者Gu Jiani, Choreographer/Dancer

古佳妮的作品體現著一股強有力的相融與相抗的關係。

古來自中國南方，曾受過古典芭蕾與中國古典舞的訓練。近年來，通過作品不斷探索視覺和心理反應與空間的多視角關係。古曾在北京現代舞團工作，先後與國內外多位藝術家進行工作。2013年開始獨立創作，並駐地實施「Go&N SPACE計劃」，2016年建立獨立工作組「十口無團」。

主要作品：

短作品《11:11》《身邊》《Passed》《With L .Y》；

長作品《右一左一》《插銷》；

作品《插銷》由第十八屆中國上海國際藝術節「扶持青年藝術家計劃」及台灣「兩廳院」聯合委約創作，並於2016年10月世界首演於上海當代藝術博物館。

古的作品先後在國內北京、上海、廣州進行演出，並攜作品《右一左一》(「Right & Left」) 赴香港藝術節（2016），墨爾本藝術節（2015），美國密西根州立大學（2015）進行演出 ；同時受到墨爾本藝術中心邀請，參與2017編舞項目"Lab"；

2011與2013年，分別在國家大劇院芭蕾舞暨編舞比賽編舞組，獲最佳年輕編舞&銅獎；除了獨立編創亦參與影像及不同媒介合作擔任編舞，代表合作作品：CAMERICH影像短片 《 DESIGN FOR DESIRE 》，該片在2014第二屆倫敦華語電影節，獲最佳商業短片獎。

Originating from southern China, Gu trained inballet and classical Chinese dance before developing her own style known for athletic precision and aggressive attack. Her works focus on the relationship between soft bodies, hard spaces, and the exchange of cause-and-effect.

Gu Jiani has worked with artists such as Germany』s Munchner Kammerspiele on 「Totally Happy」 and Belgium』s Tino Sehgal in 「This Variation」 among others.

She received the 2011 and 2013 China National Centre for the Performing Arts International Choreography Competition awards. 「Right & Left」 has touredHong Kong Arts Festival, University of Michigan, and Melbourne Festival.

After incredible success in the U.S., PPP is excited to announce Gu Jiani s European premiereat the CODA Oslo International Dance Festival in Norway on Oct. 21st, 2017with her latest production "Exit."

"Exit" is co-commissioned by The Shanghai International Arts Festival 「RAW」 Program and Taiwan Performing Arts Center–Theatre and Concert Hall and premiered at Shanghai』s Power Station of Art in October 2016.
