問：怎樣看待修行中出現的各種境界

修行中經常會出現各種境界，怎樣判斷這些境界是不是應該出現的呢？

答：修行的時候，心靜下來了，肯定會出現一些境相。有些人今生沒有那麼大的功夫，但是前世帶來的也有。這些境界都很正常，你不執著都是好事，你執著了都是不好，你不執著就行。

對於一般人來說，這些境界是很特殊的，但是你也應該把它當作一個正常的現象去看待。比如說，這裡有一杯水，地獄眾生看就是鐵汁，餓鬼看就是膿血，人看就是一杯水，天人看就是一杯甘露，佛看就是一尊佛。在不同境界里，會出現不同的境相，都當正常的現象去看就可以了。若是你去執著，那就是一種障礙。魔也是自心的顯現，若是你執著這些境界，去跟隨它，鬼魔就會趁機來搗亂，影響你的修行。

Q: How do you think of various states in the Dharma practice?

There are often all kinds of states arising in practicing Dharma. How to judge whether the states should appear?

A: In the period of practice, some states surely arise when your mind calms down. Some practitioners don』t have such great ability this life, but they were born with that from past lives. Reaching the states is quite normal. If you don』t cling to them, all of them are good; if you do, all of them are not good. You should just let them go.

For the ordinary people, those states are quite special, but you should treat them as normal phenomena. Take a glass of water for example, the hell-beings see iron juice from it, the pretas see pus and blood, the human beings just see a glass of water, the gods see a glass of dew, while the Buddhas see a Buddha from it. In different states, there are different manifestations, so you just treat them as normal phenomena. If you cling to them, then it will come out as an obstacle for you. Demons are the manifestations of one』s mind. If you cling to these states, following them, then the demons will take the opportunity to play tricks on you and influence your practice.
