Tea absorbs the spirit of the universe, appealing to men of letters through out the ages. Asa tea house to promote Chinese culture of tea drinking, while being innovative,Taohuayuan seeks to meet demands of modern life . The design utilized a quiteZen esthetic and simple style to bring a tranquil and free space to the bustling city.

建築呈現單層矩形的清朗輪廓，隱於林間

猶如

天然的傑作。大理石渾厚穩重，玻璃靈動純凈，如此搭配的立面剛柔虛實諧調，使建築造型滲透著現代氣息。室內成為

整體建築

的延展，主要選用木材、竹和大理石，質樸的材料配合簡潔的線條，創造禪意安穩之感。

The buildingis in a clear out line of single rectangles, tucked away in the forest just likea master piece of nature. While marble is strong and steady, the glass is clearand pure, thus the facade harmoniously combines hardness and softness, as wellas virtual and real, giving the house a contemporary look. The interior becomes the extension of the architecture; simple materials such as wood, bamboo and marbleare used together with concise lines to create Zentranquility. 

茶室整體色調簡約柔和，結合了太湖石、燈籠、繪畫和藝術品等傳統元素，烘托出一個與自然相融的寧靜所在。太湖石是湖下采來的大型岩石，留存著久歷侵蝕下形成的孔洞和褶皺紋理。六件太湖石置於一塊模仿水面倒影的黑色鏡面平台上；既為曲折圓潤的藝術裝置，同時將茶館分隔出半私密空間。而在黑框玻璃勾勒出的天然背景中，室內的

呼應了館外樹林縱向線條之印象。

The overall palette remains simple

and soft,incorporating traditional elements like

create a tranquil environment that is one with nature.

Scholar rocks are massive rocksre covered from the river beds with naturally eroded holes

Custom designed furnitureand lighting

combining interior hard decoration reflect the importance of balance in Chinese style. Low-rise furniture which prevailed in ancient times when people tended to "sit on the floor", as well as modern high-type furniture are used in the tea house. They are mainly made of wood and are in simplecolors, containing both classical charm and fresh ideas,

思聯建築設計有限公司 (CL3) 創辦人及董事總經理林偉而先生，畢業於美國康內爾大學建築系。他將超過20年的豐富經驗及創新思維應用於CL3多個項目之中，並於過去20年間積極推動本地建築、文化及藝術的發展。

As Founder and Managing Director of CL3 Architects Ltd. (CL3), William Lim brings over 20 years of experience to his projects. An acclaimed architect and artist, William graduated from Cornell University and has spent the past two decades at the forefront of architecture, culture and art.

林偉而重視文化與藝術，擅長把人文生活的精髓融入現代的設計，創造兼容並蓄的作品。他指：「建築師擔當改善城市環境的社會責任。建築與民生息息相關。每一座建築的價值不單是建築師的設計，亦需要該建築空間的用家來為其賦予價值。我們重視人與空間的互動，並將每一個項目看成是獨特的挑戰，用心觀察及研究由建築至內部裝潢的每一個細節，以創造出一個以人文為本、具藝術價值的優質設計。」

With a keen appreciation of humanities and art, William』s designs are distinctive and contemporary. 「Architects have a social obligation to improve urban environments,」 explains William. 「Architecture is about people. I always feel that architects are only doing part of the job—the rest is really shaped by the occupant using the space.
