People are kind of exaggerating how popular Derrick Rose is currently in China.. he"s not as popular as when he was at his peak...

The largest difference between the tastes of China and US fans is that they are not as quick to replace established legends with emerging/trending players. I think this is most vividly illustrated by looking at their top 10 jersey sales... in 2017 China"s included Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, and Tim Duncan.

And ironically in 2017 since Rose was having a resurgence his jersey was #10 at the USA NBA store... and not ranked at all with China... so there is an argument that he was/is more popular in the US right now than China.

Don"t think we will ever see MVP Rose again but I just hope he"s happy and gets a chance to go to the Finals. Rose + Lebron going to be fun to see no matter what.

The love there could also mean keen interest or devoted, but i chose to keep it as it is.
