在后化社会，消费成为社会生活和生产的主导动力和目标。商业化推动下应运而生的设计行业，常常借着创意的名义，生产（创造）出各种光怪陆离的材质和形态，形成一种可被快速复制和消费的美学系统。

这种被商业社会奉为圭臬的方式实际上却带着资本的原罪，挥霍无度、杂乱无序、重复的大规模生产造成了自然资源的大量消耗和浪费。

In the post-society,consumption has become the dominant driving force and goal in social life andproduction. In the name of creativity, the design industry emerged in the commercialization often produced (created) a variety of bizarre materials and shapes to form the aesthetics system can be rapidly reproduced and consumed.The mode hailed as the standard in the commercial society actually has the original sin of capital. The squandering, disorderly and repetitive mass production has resulted in a large consumption and waste of natural resources.

设计之美，不在于商业领域所定义的标准，而在于在尊重自然环境和满足人的内心需求之间的微妙平衡。敬自然，所以得永续；明心性，所以得愉怡。深信于此的择木创建团队，在他们自己的办公室设计中，懂取舍，知进退，不哗众取宠，却触动人心。

The beauty of design doesnot consists in the standard defined by the commercial field but lies in thesubtle balance between respect for natural environment and satisfying the innerneeds of people. With this belief, Zemu creationteam knows how to make choice, never does grandstanding but touch the mind ofpeople.

门口紧闭的电动木拉门混搭极具后现代个性化的金属球，既营造了安静的办公环境，又以一种戏谑而深刻的方式阐释了设计是一个观照内心的过程。随着推拉门的开启，观者进入一条窄长的通道。通道一端，是繁枝扩散的灯光装置，展示了向上生长的力量，另一端，是一个透出光来的小洞，恰似路标，引人遐思，点燃希望。

The closed electric woodendoor mixed with the post-modern metal ball, creates a quiet office environmentand interprets that design is a process of inner world review in a joking andprofound way. With the opening of the sliding door, the viewers enter a narrowchannel. One end of the channel is the proliferation of light-emitting device,showing the upward growth. On the other end, it is a hole with lightpenetrating through, like the road signs, stirring reverie and lighting hope.

如果说“小道”是精心设置的故事铺垫，那么正文的场景则是水到渠成的情节安排。空间流线分明，穿过小道左转是中岛吧台，右转则可见员工办公区和左右两侧的独立办公区。基于人性化办公的理念，员工办公区占据了最佳的观景位置。无论是董事办公室兼具办公和喝茶功能的桌子，还是员工办公区窗边的书架和软沙发，都统一营造出轻松休闲的办公氛围。

If the "trail"is the bedding for carefully set story, the text scene is the naturalarrangement of plots. There are clear space streamlines. Getting through thetrail and turn left, it is Zhongdao Bar; turn right, you can see the staffoffice area and the independent office areas on both sides. Based on theconcept of human-friendly office work, the staff office area occupies the bestviewing position. Whether the desk with office and tea drinking functions inthe director office, or the shelves and soft sofas in the window of staffoffice area can create a unified relax and casual office atmosphere.

材质的功能与表达是设计功力深浅的另一重要体现。浅色木材和草宣纸的巧妙应用，在有效节省成本之余，极大地提升了空间的人文气质和文化气息。除了建筑结构墙，空间各功能空间的区隔全部由亚克力板糊上宣纸的双隔层墙体完成。

隔层中间隐藏式的灯光透过宣纸变得温暖柔和，原本浅黄色调宣纸上分布的细腻纹理展示出更具层次感的人文魅力，令中岛吧台和走道成为一种意境表达的存在。

The material function andexpression is another important embodiment of design skills. The cleverapplication of light wood and grass rice paper significantly enhanced the spacehumanities and cultural atmosphere at the same time of cost saving. In additionto the building structural wall, the partition of function spaces are completedby double-layer of acrylic board pasted with rice paper. The hidden light inthe middle of the compartment became warm and soft view the rice paper. Thedelicate texture distributed on the originally light yellow tone paperdemonstrates the humanistic charm with a more layered sense, making Zhongdaobar and aisle a kind of artistic expression.

“胜日寻芳泗水滨，无边光景一时新”，矗立于闽江边畔，双面环江的视野是打动择木创建团队并让其最终决定选址于此的原因。“闽江对福州人来说既是最熟悉的自然事物，也是最亲切的文化符号，每当工作之余看它潮起潮落，都可以感受到一种巨大的鼓舞。”设计师说道。

"Have a spring tripin Sishui coast in a sunny day, the charming scenery is so refreshing".Standing on the edge of Minjiang River, the double sided river view touched theZemu creation team and made it select this site. "To Fuzhou people,Minjiang River is the most familiar natural thing and also the most intimatecultural symbol. Whenever seeing the tide ups and downs in the work, you canfeel a great encouragement" said the designer.

设计在开合有序的叙述中徐徐展开。先抑后扬的空间节奏建立了强烈的仪式感，让观者充分理解和感受“设计中的设计”，随着自然江景的引入，空间进入“设计与生活”另一维度的探索，旋即变得舒展放松。

The design is slowlyunfolded in an orderly narration. The falling-rising spatial rhythm establisheda strong sense of ritual, allowing the viewer to fully understand and feel the"design in design". With the introduction of natural river scene, the space entered into the exploration in another dimension, which immediately became relaxed.

最后，何为设计？对于这个设计之初就较劲的问题，设计师以不经意的方式作了回答。公共区部分天花板特意裸露出质朴的水泥材质，茶室的实体墙也保留了原始的砖土结构，设计师借助直白的对比和反差效果，传达出以克制、理性的态度创造美好生活体验的设计理念。

Finally, what is design?As for the main issue in the initial stage of design, the designer replies inan inadvertent way. The ceiling in the public area specially exposes the rusticcement. The solid wall of the tea room also retains the original brickstructure. Relying on the straight forward contrast and contrast effect, itconveys a design idea of a better life experience by restrained and rational effect.
