相信不少人都會選擇口紅。吃土色、豆沙色、焦糖色……不少女孩都會根據自己的著裝、天氣、甚至心情來挑選當天要擦哪種顏色的口紅。

這種口紅塗上去有柔潤、細膩的光澤，適合嘴唇較乾的女生塗。

如何塗口紅？
塗口紅的動詞要用「apply」，例如擦口紅（apply lipstick）、擦面霜（apply cream）。
Apply the moisturizer twice a day, once in the morning and the other in the evening.
每天兩次塗抹保濕霜，一次是在早上，另一次是在晚上。
和潤唇膏不一樣，口紅可不是隨便塗塗就行的，按照以下的步驟，可以讓你的口紅塗得更加精緻。
Apply lip balm. Dot your lip with lip balm to smooth them and reduce crevices.

Use a lip liner. Choose a color that matches your lips.

判斷你的膚色和色調
想要選擇一款適合自己的唇色，首先需要搞懂你的膚色（complexion）和色調（skin tone）。
下面給出幾種辨別方法。
在陽光下辨別
Examine your skin in natural lighting to determine your complexion: fair, light, medium, tan, deep. Concentrate on the skin around your jaw line.
在自然光下辨別你的皮膚屬於哪種類型：白皙、淺色、中性、棕色或深色。注意觀察下顎輪廓的皮膚顏色。
Fair skin:your skin is very pale or translucent and you burn very easily. You may have freckles and some redness.
白皙皮膚：你的皮膚蒼白或半透，很容易被晒傷。可能有雀斑或者皮膚髮紅。
Light skin:your skin is pale. When you are in the sun, you burn and then may possibly tan.
淺色皮膚：你的皮膚蒼白，一曬太陽就會被晒傷，然後變成棕色皮膚。
Medium:you tan easily and generally don"t burn or have sensitive skin.
中性皮膚：你很容易晒成棕色皮膚，通常不會晒傷，也不容易敏感。
Tan:your skin is tan or olive. You rarely burn and look tanned even in the winter.
棕色皮膚：你的膚色呈棕色或橄欖色。很少被晒傷，甚至在冬天都是棕色的。
Deep:your skin is dark and you never get sunburned.
黝黑皮膚：你的皮膚呈深色並且從不會被晒傷。
觀察你的手腕
Look at the color of the veins on the inside of your wrist. This is a quick way to figure out if you have a warm, neutral, or cool skin tone.
注意看你手腕內側靜脈的顏色。這是一個快速的方法來辨別你的皮膚是暖色調、中性色調還是冷色調。
Blue or purple veins indicate you have a cool skin tone.
如果你的靜脈以藍色或紫色為主，你的皮膚就是冷色調。
Green veins mean you have a warm skin tone.

If you have difficulty deciding if your veins are blue or green, you likely have a neutral skin tone.

If you have fair or light skin, try light pink, coral, peach, nudes, or beige. If you have cool undertones, try a soft mocha and nude. Warm undertones, try pale pinks or a nude with a little peach.
如果你膚質白皙，可以嘗試亮粉色、珊瑚色、桃紅色、裸色或米黃色。冷調膚色的妹子可以選用淺摩卡色或裸色；如果是暖色則可選用淺桃紅或是偏桃色的裸色唇膏。
If you have medium skin, try rose, mauve, or berry shades.Cool undertones: try shades of pink or cranberry. Warm undertones: experiment with copper or bronze.
如果你膚色為中性，可以嘗試玫瑰紅、淡紫或櫻桃色。冷調的膚色適合用粉色或紅棕色；暖調則更適合黃銅色或古銅色。
If you have tan skin, try to avoid browns and purples and go for colors with an orange undertone. Most other colors will look great. Trycoral,or deep pink.
如果你膚質為棕色，一定要避免用棕色或紫色唇色，而應選橘色。其他顏色也都比較適用，可以試試珊瑚色或暗粉色。
If you have a deep complexion, try browns or purples like walnut, caramel, plum, or wine. Cool undertones should look for ruby and wine-colored reds. Warm undertones: try copper or bronze.
如果你的皮膚顏色很深，可以嘗試棕色或紫色系，如胡桃色、焦糖色、紫紅色和酒紅色。如果你是冷調的膚色可以多嘗試下紅寶石色或酒紅色；而暖色調的適合黃銅色或古銅色。
選擇口紅質地
不同質地（texture）的口紅，會給你的嘴唇帶來各種新鮮的效果。
If you have thin lips, go for the textures that add volume like creamy, glossy or sparkly.
如果你嘴唇較薄，選擇能讓嘴唇顯得豐滿的質地，如奶油質地的、有光澤的或珠光閃耀的。
If you have big lips, avoid the glossy and the sparkly effects, and be careful with the creamy (not to shiny).
如果你嘴比較大，避免使用太過油膩光澤的效果的口紅，小心使用奶油質地，太亮了。
Also choose your lipstick』s texture according to the style you are trying to achieve. Matte is very sophisticated, glossy is fresh, creamy is glam and sparkly.
