說到格子呢，腦子第一浮現的就是蘇格蘭格子呢。而朋克女王vivienne westwood也是鍾愛運用格子呢。格子呢在時尚圈的意義，要回溯到上世紀70年代，當時朋克音樂是英倫諸島年輕人表達他們對統治階級不滿的一種方式。而長期以來一直與權威和文雅聯繫在一起的格子花呢，被不按傳統穿著，藉由這種方式，格子呢，變成了年輕人表達對現代社會不滿的象徵。到如今，依舊是時尚圈打造朋克風格不可或缺的元素。
