印度著名詩人、哲學家拉賓德拉納特·泰戈爾（Rabindranath Tagore）一生寫過大量詩篇。

他有一首哲理詩"Let life be beautiful like summer flowers And Death like autumn leaves"，被鄭振鐸翻譯成「使生如夏花之絢爛，死如秋葉之靜美」，後常作《生如夏花》（Let life be beautiful like summer flowers ），聞名遐邇。
