易混片語第10講：photo，picture，drawing 到底用哪張？

在英語中，photo, picture, drawing都有圖片、照片的意思，但是它們之間的具體所指你知道嗎？快來一起學習一下吧！

一、photo是photograph的縮略形式，photo為非正式形式，常用語口語中，一般指照片、相片（英文釋義為any picture that has been made by using a camera，即任何由照相機拍攝的圖片）。例如：

Can you take a photo of me and Rachel?

你能給我和雷切爾拍張照嗎？

I』ll send Mom a photo of Sammy.

我要寄一張薩米的照片給媽媽。。

二、picture既可以指painting/drawing（繪畫）之意和 photograph（照片）之意，又可以指在腦海中構圖、想像的景象。例如：

he room had several pictures on the walls.

那個房間牆上有幾幅畫。

We found it hard to picture him as the father of three kids.

我們很難想像他居然是三個孩子的父親了。

三、drawing一般指繪畫、圖畫、素描之意，和picture相比，drawing指a picture that has been made using a pencil or pen，not paint（即指用鉛筆、鋼筆而非顏料畫出的圖畫或繪畫），但picture指用鉛筆、鋼筆或顏料畫出的圖畫或繪畫。

She did a drawing of me.

她為我畫了張素描。

The children learn singing, dancing, drawing, and the like in the kindergarten.

孩子們在幼兒園裡學習唱歌、跳舞、畫圖畫等。
