每一條戒都是佛圓滿人格的功德,持戒就是跟佛的功德接軌

受戒持戒

五戒受好了,還可以受八戒。八戒是一天一天受持的,是一日一夜我們能受持的戒。五戒是盡形壽受持的,形是生命的形體,盡形壽就是只要我活一天, 我就保證我不殺生,不偷盜,不邪淫, 不妄語,不飲酒。八戒是只受持一日一夜的戒,為什麼受這一天呢? 這是佛法的善巧方便,考慮到眾生有各種各樣的事情,需要上班工作。休息天的時候, 就可以抽這個空,受持八戒做一天的修行人。

戒律

After being able to observe the Five Precepts well, one can further observe the Eight Precepts. While the vows for observing the Five Precepts should be kept throughout our entire life – that is to say, as long as we are alive we should not kill, steal, have immoral sexual relationships, lie or consume alcohol - vows for the Eight Precepts are only kept on certain days. Why is this? This is a skilful means of Buddha-dharma; while people are busy with various things during weekdays, they can spare at least one day of their weekend to observe the Eight Precepts.

菩提心

八戒的相有出家的功德,這一天守戒就好像出家一樣,就觀想過去阿羅漢這些聖者都是因為出家而修行成就的, 那我這一輩子出不了家,出一天家是可以的,這是佛陀給我們的慈悲。每一條戒都是佛圓滿人格的功德,持這個戒, 就是給我們機會跟佛的功德接軌。然後更高的就是發菩提心,發了菩提心之後就可以受菩薩戒。受菩薩戒就是身體雖然是凡夫,但是心已經是菩薩,這個就是轉凡成聖。受菩薩戒的時候就是凡聖同體的,聖人的體進入到我們凡人的體當中。

The observance of the Eight Precepts can generate comparable merit to that which comes from monastic life. Considering that many of the Arhats and holy beings achieved spiritual attainment through living monastic lives, when one is observing the Eight Precepts they can imagine that they are following a similar path. Although they can』t live a sustained monastic life, they can at least do it for one day. This all comes from the kindness and compassion of the Buddha. Each of the precepts represents the Buddha』s perfect virtues. The observance of the precepts allows us to form a connection with these virtues.

On top of the Eight Precepts, one should arouse the Bodhicitta and observe the Precepts of Bodhisattva. Although a practitioner observing these precepts is an ordinary being in terms of their physical form, their heart is no different from that of a Bodhisattva. They have transformed themselves into a being that is both holy and ordinary, an ordinary physical body with a holy spirit.

受戒的功德是很大的

受戒的功德是很大的,「戒」 是佛菩薩慈悲我們,講道理有時我們聽不懂, 入定我們也很難入定,但我們能夠當下實踐戒的功德的。戒定慧三無漏學,戒是最簡單的,但是能夠持之以恆,這也是需要毅力的。在家人也可以受菩薩戒, 以後就慢慢去發菩提心,行菩薩道。

The observance of Buddhist precepts can generate enormous merits. The fact that we can observe these precepts is due to the kindness and compassion of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas. While we may not be able to understand the Dharma teachings or rest our mind in meditative stability, we can at least observe the precepts and acquire merits. Among the Three- fold Training - precepts, concentration and wisdom - precepts are the easiest to practice. On the other hand, sustaining these precepts requires perseverance. Not only monastic beings but also lay Buddhists can observe the Bodhisattva Precepts. After making the vows, one can gradually expand their Bodhicitta and undertake altruistic activities.

迴向

文殊師利勇猛智

普賢慧行亦復然

我今迴向諸善根

隨彼一切常修學

三世諸佛所稱嘆

如是最勝諸大願

我今迴向諸善根

為得普賢殊勝行

賢劫千佛心 響崖大德知

現後中救我 脫輪到菩提

我今皈依十方一切諸佛世尊

已得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提

未轉無上法輪

欲捨報身入涅槃者

我皆至誠頂禮勸請

轉大法輪

雨大法雨

燃大法燈

照明理趣

施無礙法

莫般涅槃

久住於世

度脫安樂一切眾生

如前所說乃至無盡安樂

我今以此勸請功德

迴向阿耨多羅三藐三菩提

如過去未來現在諸大菩薩

勸請功德迴向菩提

我亦如是勸請功德迴向無上正等菩提
