First Ultra Long Range A350 XWB makes its debut
The first Ultra Long Range version of the A350 XWB has rolled out of the Airbus final assembly line in Toulouse.
作為最暢銷的A350XWB寬體飛機家族的最新成員,該機型的航程比目前其他所有民用飛機都遠。
The latest variant of the best-selling A350 XWB Family will be able to fly further than any other commercial airliner and will enter service with launch operator Singapore Airlines later this year.

Following completion of the airframe assembly, the first aircraft has now moved to an outdoor station where it will undergo extensive ground tests, prior to installation of its Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines.

The aircraft will then embark on a short flight test programme to certify the changes over the standard A350-900 that will bring the additional range capability.

With a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 280 tonnes, the A350 XWB Ultra Long Range is capable of flying up to 9,700 nautical miles or over 20 hours non-stop, combining the highest levels of passenger and crew comfort with unbeatable economics for such distances.
新加坡航空共訂購了7架A350-900ULR飛機,將用於新加坡與美國間的直飛航班運營,包括新加坡至紐約的世界最長商業航班。
Altogether, Singapore Airlines has ordered seven A350-900 Ultra Long Range aircraft, which it will use on non-stop flights between Singapore and the US, including the world』s longest commercial service between Singapore and New York.

To date, Airbus has recorded a total of 854 firm orders for the A350 XWB from 45 customers worldwide, already making it one of the most successful widebody aircraft ever.

BASF growth in all segments in full year 2017
Economic activity picked up in many countries worldwide in 2017.「We took advantage of this upturn and markedly increased our full-year 2017 sales and earnings compared with the previous year, 」 said Kurt Bock, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE.
由於市場需求強勁,巴斯夫所有業務部門銷量均有提升,盈利顯著提升。售價上漲也同時助益了盈利,在化學品業務領域尤為明顯。
Thanks to good demand, BASF sold greater volumes in all divisions and considerably increased its profitability.Higher prices, especially in the Chemicals segment, also contributed to this.

The company achieved EBIT before special items of €8.3 billion, with a significant contribution coming from the Chemicals segment.

Earnings in the chemicals business – which comprises the Chemicals, Performance Products and Functional Materials & Solutions segments – were significantly higher than in the previous year. EBIT before special items in this business was €7.3 billion, up by 26% versus the prior-year figure.

Overall, BASF』s sales grew by 12% to €64.5 billion. BASF』s earnings rose even more sharply, by around one-third.

For 2018, BASF expects the global economy and chemical production to grow at roughly the same pace as in 2017. Further growth is expected in all regions and BASF anticipates a continuation of the recovery already underway in Brazil and Russia.

Honeywell Announces Darius Adamczyk To Assume Chairman Title
Honeywell recently announced that its Board of Directors has nominated President and CEO Darius Adamczyk to serve as Chairman when current Chairman Dave Cote retires at the end of April 2018.
杜瑞哲現年52歲,2016年初擔任公司首席運營官,並於2017年3月31日被任命為總裁兼首席執行官。
Adamczyk, 52, was named President and Chief Executive officer on March 31, 2017, after having served as Chief Operating Officer since early 2016.
在此之前,他曾擔任霍尼韋爾特性材料和技術集團(PM&T)總裁兼首席執行官,該集團是提供高性能特性材料和解決方案的全球領先供應商,針對煉油和石化領域提供領先技術和過程式控制制方案。
Prior to that, he served as President and CEO of Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies (PM&T), a global leader in the development of high-performance products and solutions, leading technologies for the global refining and petrochemicals industry, and process solutions.

Before that, he was President of Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS), a global leader in automation and control systems.

He became President of Honeywell Scanning & Mobility in 2008 when Metrologic, where he was Chief Executive Officer, was acquired by Honeywell.
