Most restaurants are back open again, but some are offering a reduced menu due to distribution issues.

A spokesman said: "We』re working as hard as we can to get this sorted out.

Last week the chain took out an advert apologising to customers and admitting the chicken shortage was "not ideal".

The chicken giant blamed "teething problems" with new delivery partner DHL, but it provoked a fierce reaction from customers.

Police in Tower Hamlets, London, revealed that some had even reported a closed KFC restaurant as a crime.
