睡前故事 The Snake and the Drake

大家好，我是來自中公教育的Christine老師，今天我們講的故事叫The Snake and the Drake《蛇和鴨爸爸》

《蛇和鴨爸爸》

A duck and a drake had a nest by a lake.

鴨媽媽和鴨爸爸在湖邊搭了一個窩。

One rainy day, a snake came to the nest.

一個雨天，一條蛇來到了鴨窩旁邊。

The duck got away but the snake got the drake.

鴨媽媽逃脫了，可是鴨爸爸被蛇抓住了。

「Let go of my tail,」 said the drake.

「放開我的尾巴。」鴨爸爸說。

「No,」 said the snake.

「不。」蛇說。

「I am going to eat you.」

「我要吃了你。」

「Will you eat me with some cake?」 said the drake.

「你打算用蛋糕搭配著吃我嗎？」鴨爸爸說。

「That is the best way to eat drake.」

「那是吃公鴨最好的辦法了。」

「I can"t make cake,」 said the snake.

「我不會做蛋糕。」蛇說。

「But Raven can make cake,」 said the drake.

「可是烏鴉會做蛋糕呀。」鴨爸爸說。

「Raven"s cake is yummy,」 said the drake.

「烏鴉做的蛋糕很好吃。」鴨爸爸說。

「He makes it every day.」

「他每天都做。」

「What is in Raven"s cake?」 said the snake.

「烏鴉的蛋糕里都有什麼呀？」蛇說。

「Grapes and dates and raisins,」 said the drake.

「葡萄、棗和葡萄乾。」鴨爸爸說。

「Yum, yum,」 said the snake.

「好吃，好吃！」蛇說。

「What a shame I can』t fly to Raven"s nest.」

「真可惜啊，我不能飛進烏鴉的窩裡。」

「But I can fly,」 said the drake.

「可是我能飛啊。」鴨爸爸說。

「If you wait, I can get you some of Raven"s yummy cake.」

「如果你願意等，我可以為你送來一些烏鴉的美味蛋糕。」

「Okay. I will wait,」 said the snake,

「好的，我願意等。」

And he let the drake get away.

蛇說完就放鴨爸爸走了。

Snake lay and waited.

蛇趴在地上等啊等。

He waited all day.

他等了一整天。

But the drake did not come back.

可是鴨爸爸沒有回來。

Snake is still waiting.

蛇現在還在等著。

好了，今天的故事就到這裡了。
