學英語似乎「離不開」語言環境。這是真的嗎？
很多人學英語有一個「壞毛病」「壞習慣」：一見到某個英語單詞句子就迫不及待的去想「中文意思是什麼？」，也只能知道「中文什麼意思」，也就是第一反應就是「翻譯」成中文，而我則盡量強迫自己想：英語意思是什麼?
而且還不是用中文「英語什麼意思？」而是「用英語」：What does it mean in English? What are the other ways to say it in English?
英語就是「用」的，你越用學熟練，越「學」越 「記」，你越學不會記不住。

Definition
The term "retention" in regards to school means repeating an academic year of school. Retention in school is also called grade retention, being held back, or repeating a grade. Grade retention is the opposite of social promotion, in which children continue with their age peers regardless of academic performance.

你不是在(用中文)「讀」英語，你是在用英語「讀」英語「用」英語。
Social progress也不是中文：社會進步。Social progress is English：If the boy moves on to the next peer grade, or goes on to her next peer grade instead of repeating a grade, thst"s social progress.For example, we say：My child is having her social progress.OR:I don"t know if my daughter should repeat her grade or do her social progress.
英語就是「用」的，你越用學熟練，越「學」越 「記」，你越學不會記不住。而「用」並不指「跟別人用」或者「有人跟你用」才叫「用」。自己跟自己「用」也是「用」。這個能力需要訓練，而且開始的越早越好。
