繼口碑大片《紅海行動》掀起觀影熱潮之後，最近又有一部超燃大片《厲害了，我的國》上映。影片生動再現了我國在過去5年間所取得的卓越成就，展現了中國新時代風貌。

After the premiere of the documentary Amazing China on Feb 27, prolonged applause broke out in a Beijing auditorium. A retired civil servant said she had a flight to catch but kept watching the film until the end of the credits.

2月27日，紀錄片《厲害了，我的國》在北京舉行了首映，熱烈的掌聲在禮堂中久久未能平息。一位退休的公務員表示，儘管自己還要趕飛機，但還是一直看到了電影片尾。

The 90-minute documentary, Amazing China, which is co-produced by China Central Television and China Film Corp, opened in theaters nationwide on Friday.

《厲害了，我的國》這部90分鐘的紀錄片由中央電視台和中國電影股份有限公司聯合出品，並於上周五在全國上映。

The film focuses on the major achievements the country has made since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2012 under Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

電影以習近平新時代中國特色社會主義思想為指引，展現了黨的十八大以來中國所取得的發展和成就。

Speaking about the documentary, Wei Tie, the director, says: "The film arouses Chinese pride from deep inside."

導演衛鐵在談到這部電影時表示：「這部電影能夠從心底里激發中國人的民族自豪感。」

The documentary focuses on key Chinese infrastructure projects in aerospace, high-speed rail, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the world』s largest single-dish telescope FAST.

紀錄片關注了我國在航空航天、高鐵、港珠澳大橋以及全球最大的單碟射電望遠鏡FAST等領域的重大基礎設施項目。

The documentary also informs viewers that seven of the world』s 10 biggest sea ports are now in China. And that the country now has the longest high-speed rail network in the world.

該紀錄片同時還讓觀眾了解到，在全球十大港口中，中國就佔了七座。我國目前還擁有世界上最長的高鐵鐵路網。

In the film, Lin Ming, the chief engineer of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge project, says: "In the past, what kind of projects we took up was decided by what kind of facilities we had. But, nowadays, no matter what kind of projects we are assigned, we develop the technology to complete it."

在影片中，港珠澳大橋項目總工程師林鳴說道：「過去我們是有什麼裝備幹什麼樣的工程，做什麼方案，如今無論遇到怎樣的工程，我們國家都能造出這樣的設備來完成。」

His voice is calm but his words show the country』s self-confidence.

他的聲音沉穩，言語中透露著大國的自信。

Speaking of the significance of the new documentary for the Chinese, La Peikang, the head of China Film Corp, says: "It』s not only about showing the achievements, but presenting the status quo of China.

在談到這部為中國人拍攝的新紀錄片的意義時，中國電影股份有限公司董事長喇培康表示：「《厲害了，我的國》不僅僅是一部『成就片』，它也是一部國情片。」

"The film will help people to know our country better. The moving stories behind the Chinese miracles reflect the people』s endeavors and spirit."

「影片能讓大家更好地了解中國。這些中國奇蹟背後的動人故事展現了人們的奮鬥精神。」

A good documentary is usually a vivid portrayal of individual stories rather than slogans, and Amazing China is no exception.

一部優秀的紀錄片通常能生動地展現出人物故事，而非空喊口號，《厲害了，我的國》也是如此。

One of the most touching moments in the film is probably footage from an interview of Nan Rendong, often called the "father of FAST".

影片中最動人的一幕之一就是一段對「FAST之父」南仁東的採訪視頻。

Sadly, after more than 20 years of working at the site, the chief scientist and engineer of the project passed away last year due to lung cancer.

遺憾的是，在堅守崗位20多年之後，這位項目首席科學家、總工程師去年因肺癌病逝。

Like him, the film salutes many other heroes supporting the country』s progress in science.

這部電影也向無數如南老一般的英雄致敬，他們都為我國的科學進步做出了突出貢獻。

Amazing China also focuses on common people.

《厲害了，我的國》也關注著普通人。

In the film, you see a young Tibetan woman volunteering in rural areas to help people eradicate poverty.

影片中你會看到一位年輕的藏族姑娘志願在農村扶貧。

And, you also see a successful entrepreneur from the coastal Fujian province who settles in the Gobi Desert, in northwest China, who has taken up a new career growing grapes.

你還會看到來自沿海地區福建省的成功企業家紮根大西北戈壁灘，開始了種植葡萄的新事業。

The movie shows that their work is not easy, but their spirit and unwavering belief make it possible to achieve their targets. And, they are just representative of the many Chinese who work as hard.

影片展現了他們工作的艱辛，但他們的精神以及毫不動搖的信仰讓實現目標成為了可能。而他們也只是千千萬萬努力奮鬥的中國人的一份子。

China is the world』s second-largest economy. But the country still faces "the contradiction between unbalanced and inadequate development and the people』s ever-growing needs for a better life", as stated in the CPC』s 19th National Congress in November. However, as this cinematic production proves, the documentary is a good way for the country to boost self-confidence and to aspire for a brighter future.

中國是世界第二大經濟體，但正如去年11月黨的十九大報告中所指出的那樣，中國仍面臨著「人民日益增長的美好生活需要和不平衡不充分的發展之間的矛盾」。而這部影片也表明，該紀錄片是增強國家自信，鼓勵人們為更光明的未來奮鬥的良好形式。
