There was this one instance where KAT was being guarded by Harden and Teague had a clear path to pass him the ball into the paint - no other defenders around to deflect or force a turnover.

Its certainly an issue that goes both ways. Teague , Rose and Crawford all missed KAT in good position, but also KAT didnt do the guards any favors by chilling behind the arc for most of the 2nd half.

its not the teague shots that bothered me as much as crawford. Teague at least moves the ball a little bit
edit: but it should be noted Teague put up 15 pts on 9 shots and Crawford 15 pts on 11 shots. Thats not bad efficiency

I haven"t seen much Minny ball this year but the complete absence of a bench is really apparent and the reliance of Crawford is unbelievable, he has this reputation that exceeds his performance for at least the past few years now. I"m rooting for some upset games but KAT needs to get something done.

Capela was beating him down low and down the court.

It"s also why he plays relatively low minutes, because he"s sprinting his 6-11 body up and down the court nonstop

all I"ve heard in r/nba this year is how atrocious KAT"s defense is, but I gotta say watching the nuggets game the other night, he looked much better than jokic. There were like two shots I thought he should have tried to contest but didn"t, but his effort looked good to me. Now obviously a win-or-go-home game isn"t the best indicator of effort for the other 81 games but that was just my thought. Maybe he steps up the d in the playoffs.

a big reason KAT"s usage isnt that high is because hes too selective with his shot attempts. In the first half we ha a possession where he passed it to a covered D Rose with 2 seconds left on the shot clock. He does little things like that which artificially inflate his shooting efficiency , and deflates his teammates

Someone has to take the shots, and KAT simply hasnt asserted himself to be the main shot taker. He got the ball a good amount in the first half but kept passing it away, then his teammates just went away from him in the 2nd half (which i dont agree with, but at the same time SOMEONE has to shoot it)

idk if he consciously does it to preserve his stats, but whether its intentional or not, it hurts the offense.

Someone needed to take over after KAT decided he wasnt going to be engaged in the 2nd half.

He also needs to get better position when he does have a guard on him. Tucker is difficult to post up but there』s no reason he shouldn』t be putting CP3 and Harden right under the rim. Instead he gets easily moved out to about 3 feet off the block by the time he catches the pass
