It"s Fun to Learn

音樂是優質的幼兒教育中不可或缺的一部分。音樂可以奠定教室環境的基調,增強孩子的技能,拓展對概念的理解,幫助孩子學習語言,並建立集體感。如果您問孩子關於音樂的看法,他們會說唱歌是日常生活中很開心的活動!

Music is an integral part of a quality early childhood curriculum. It plays a role in setting the tone of the classroom, developing skills and concepts, helping children make transitions, and building a sense of community. Of course, if you ask the children, they will tell you singing is a fun part of their daily activities.

當孩子們體驗歌曲、詩歌和童謠時,不僅能提高他們的口語和聲音的辨識力,同時可以鍛煉聽力和思考能力,拓展辭彙量,為語言能力的發展奠定基礎。

Oral language and sound discrimination are not the only skills that are developed when children are exposed to songs, poems, and rhyme. They can also develop listening and thinking skills, to enhance vocabulary along with sound discrimination and thinking skills to build the blocks of language development.

通過多年幼兒教育的經驗,我發現歌曲、詩歌和童謠對於促進孩子多方面的發展是一個完美的結合。例如學習反義詞、優雅與禮儀、與課程主題相關的內容、季節、星期、數字等,聲音也是一個有效的途徑用來教孩子學習不同的主題,增強孩子學習時的興趣。學習歌曲和詩歌是非常有意思的過程,不斷的重複可能會讓孩子失去興趣,但效果是很顯著的。

After working many years with small children I found that songs, poems and rhymes become a perfect combination for developing many areas of skills such as learning opposites, grace and courtesy, theme related topics, seasons, days of the week and numbers. Sounds are also an effective way of teaching different topics in which children develop interest whilst learning. Learning through songs and poems can become fun part of the education although repetition makes the children loose interest to learn something, but in the end the results are phenomenal..

下面是一些幫助孩子提高辭彙量和造句能力的建議。

Here are some tips that can be helpful for children to enhance their vocabulary and sentence building.

當孩子聽到歌詞、看到表現歌詞的動作時,他們可能不是特別明白其中一些歌詞的意思,但通過動作能幫他們更好地理解這個世界,如在下面這首歌中,當歌詞和動作匹配時,孩子能很快地理解這些辭彙,「打開、合上、打開、合上、放在膝蓋上」。

When children hear the words of a song in contect combined with actions that depict the words used, even if the child does not yet know the meaning of a particular words, the combination will help build the child"s understanding of the world. For example, in the following song, children will quickly understand the vocabulary used when it is matched to the actions: "Open, shut them, open, shut them, put them in your lap".

Secondly you may find it interesting to change some of the words of the song, for example 「Twinkle, Twinkle Brilliant Star」 or silent Star, Gigantic Star or Flashing Star. Use your voice to help illustrate the new adjective. Sing about a Gigantic Star in a gigantic voice. Sing about a Silent Star in a whispering voice. Use your voice as a tool to help the child understand the world and all of it"s glorious language!

可以用相似的曲調創造你想要教孩子的歌曲。有一首歌是唱「Are You Sleeping Brother John」,這個時候我們可以將歌詞換成「I Hear Thunder, So Do You, Pita Pate Rain Drops I Am Wet Too, So Are You..!」我們就是通過這樣的方式教孩子學習新的辭彙,理解新的概念,得到語言能力的發展。但別僅限於此!發揮你的創造力!編寫你自己的歌曲,孩子將成為一個作詞者,創造出屬於他/她自己最美妙的音樂!

Then use familiar tunes to create your own teaching songs. Here is a song sung to the tune of 「Are You Sleeping Brother John」 This song can be changed into 「I Hear Thunder, So Do You, Pita Pate Rain Drops I Am Wet Too, So Are You...! This is how we can foster language development helping children learn new words and understand new concepts. And don"t stop there! Create! Make up your own songs and watch as your child becomes a lyricist of his/her own beautiful music!

Feel free to make a list of some familiar songs are of different variety to help your child make most out of it.

Rhymes and poems can also be used to strengthen phonological sensitivity. Here are some ways to use nursery rhymes to promote the understanding of rhyming words.

Recite rhymes in a whisper and say the rhyming word aloud.

Recite the rhyme stopping and waiting for the children to fill in the second rhyming word in a rhyming word pair.

Recite the rhyme is a loud voice and whispers the rhyming word.

Have the children clap on rhyming word pairs.

唱歌,吟誦詩詞和童謠可以為孩子的讀寫能力打下紮實的基礎。家長們可以積極地推動這種創造性的學習,這對孩子生活各方面都非常有益!祝大家開心學習,享受這個過程!

Singing the songs and reciting the poems and rhymes with children provides a great foundation for literacy development. As parents you must take an initiative towards this creative learning for the benefit of your child in all aspects of life.
