【Flemming Nielsen】:自上世紀五十年代開始與Christian Dior攜手合作,施華洛世奇至今依然與頂級設計師和新進的設計人材緊密合作,並對其長久以來與首飾界,時尚界以及燈飾界的藝術家、工匠和設計師的創意合作深感自豪。施華洛世奇深刻明白原創設計的重要性,因此,施華洛世奇十分高興能支持我們的合作夥伴寶輝燈飾集團舉辦此次大賽,共同為中國燈飾原創設計出一分力。
Beginning with Christian Dior in the 1950s, and continuing with today』s top designers and brightest rising stars, Swarovski is very proud of its long history of creative collaboration with artists, artisans and designers in jewelry, fashion, lighting, and other sectors. 【世界照明時報】:結合施華洛世奇燈飾的發展歷程,對現階段中國燈飾行業發展有何建議?
Please give some suggestions to the Chinese lighting industry based on Swarovski』s lighting development experience.
【Flemming Nielsen】:施華洛世奇元素,原本用於首飾業及時裝業,自從20世紀50年代起,被用作燈具的裝飾品。 因此施華洛世奇在1966年推了自己的水晶系列吊燈組件。巧合的是,實驗性時尚設計師,如Paco Rabanne,也將這些元素納入了他們的時尚系列。在2002年,施華洛世奇推出Crystal Palace系列,通過切割水晶來重新演繹枝形吊燈的豐富傳統。過去的 16 年,施華洛世奇先後與 60 多位設計師合作,推出多款精彩絕倫的燈具設計。目前中國燈飾行業缺乏品牌意識,對於原創設計沒有給予足夠的重視,產品缺乏獨特的競爭力,各企業也陷入了互相模仿,價格戰的惡性競爭。因此,我希望中國燈飾行業能鼓勵,重視原創設計,建立良好的制度,行業行規保護原創設計。
Swarovski』s use of crystals in lighting products actually has its roots in the fashion industry, because that is the sector for which our crystals were originally intended. But they have been used as embellishment for lights since late 1950s. Swarovski introduced its own collection of crystal chandelier components to its range in 1966. Incidentally, experimental fashion designers such as Paco Rabanne also incorporated these lighting-focused crystals in their fashion collections! In 2002, Swarovski launched Crystal Palace as a platform to reinterpret the rich traditions of the crystal chandelier. Over 16 years, the company has collaborated with more than 60 designers on spectacular lighting designs.
I see huge potential for introducing original lighting design to Chinese interiors. After all, good design touches both the head and the heart—it is about making something that is innovative, sustainable and memorable, and has integrity, value and longevity. We passionately believe in creating beautiful designs that have lasting value, and then protecting them as works of art for future generations to value and enjoy.
