詞素記憶法
據了解,英語單詞共有六十多萬個,這也不是絕對和全面的,但是他們都是由一個活若干戈詞素組成,詞素就是用以構成一個詞有意義的音節(比較專業的解釋)。
比如:progress,是由pro-,gress兩部分組成,pro的意思是foward(向前),gress的意思是step(步)。所以這個單詞的意思是進步。再比如:reconstruct,是由re-,con-,struct組成,re-表示again(再次),con-表示together(共同),struct表示build(建立),所以這個單詞的意思是重建。
結合構詞法記憶單詞
前綴記憶,英語單詞前綴很多,常用前綴有:anti-(反對,防止),co-(共同),de-(離開,除去),dis-(否定,相反),en-(放進),ex-(超過,向外),fore-(先,前,預),pro-(預先,向前),re-(回,重新),un-(不,無非),等等。如:uncomfortable(不舒適),前綴un-(不),com-(共同)。
分解記憶:如:bicycle-自行車(bi-兩,cycle-輪子),deform變形(de-去掉,form-形狀),subway地鐵(sub-在、、、底下,way-道路)。 分組記憶:如:in-,ig-,il-,im-,ir-都表示「無」、「非」、「未」,可以把這類開頭的單詞列在一起記憶,如:incomplete,incorret,ignorance,ignoble,illegel等。
後綴記憶
後綴分四種,名詞後綴,動詞後綴,副詞後綴,形容詞後綴。 名詞後綴:-al(動作),-ment(動作),-ion(行為),-ance(性質),-ness(性質),-ant(人),-ent(人,物), -ism(主義),-ist(人),-ship(身份,資格)。
動詞後綴
-ate(造成),-en(使),-ity(使),-ize(使…化)。形容詞後綴:-less(無),-ful(充滿),-able(能夠),-ish(有…的),-ive(性),-ly(的,品質)。副詞後綴:-ly(地),-ward(s)(向)。詞尾分組記憶:如-th表示「動作」,「過程」,「狀態」,「性質」:birth(出生),death(死亡),depth(深度),growth(成長),wealth(健康),width(寬度).
結合讀音規則記單詞
英語的讀音和拼寫形式是兩套符號,但它們是統一的,有規律的。大多數單詞的讀音和拼寫是一致的。如單音節詞一般是按開音節和閉音節的讀音規則讀音。如:late[leit],tie[tai],lamp[lamp].stick[stik].
輔音字母的讀音一般是固定的,如字母c在多數情況下讀[k]只有在e,i(y)前面讀,如rice[rais].city[『siti],bicycle[baisik].
雙音節或多音節的重讀音節的讀音一般都附和開音節或閉音節的讀音規則。學習多音節時首先要弄清單詞重讀音節,做到按音節背字母單詞。
如:famous[『feimrs]-fa-mous著名的。
多義詞尾組合記憶:如nation名詞(國家),national形容詞(國家的),nationalist名詞(國家主義,民主),nationality名詞(國民性),nationalize動詞(使國有化)。
合成記憶
如:black+board=blackboard(黑板),foot+ball=football(足球),he+goat=hegoat(公山羊)。
比較記憶法
比如:air空氣——hair頭髮,black黑色的——lack缺乏,send送——sand沙,waste浪費——save節約,safety安全——danger危險。
結合片語、短語、句型記憶。如:danger——in time of great danger 在危機時刻
leadership——under the leadership of在、、、領導下
結合句子記憶單詞
如:要記憶introduce(介紹)這個單詞可結合句型 introduce sb to sb.
eg: Allow me to introduce my friend Mr.Smith to you.請允許我想您介紹一下我的朋友史密斯先生吧。
Have a Word of the Day.每日一詞
Trying to learn everything at once and getting overwhelmed by the sheer number of words in your new language can be overwhelming. Sometimes, even if you do learn new words, you forget them quickly because you haven』t heard them enough in context.試圖記住每個遇到的單詞、每天淹沒在詞海里工作量太大。即使你當下記住了新單詞,在沒有使用環境的情況下遺忘速度也是驚人的。
One way to get around this problem is to keep a few new words in your vocabulary by using them on a daily basis. Since it takes an adult an average of 150 times to learn to use a new word properly, having a Word of the Day or several words can help build your vocabulary.解決這個問題的好辦法是挑選一些單詞出來,每天用一用。一個成年人掌握一個新詞平均需要使用150次,每日重點使用一詞或幾詞則可幫助辭彙量的累積。
You can do this one of two ways. One, you can keep a running list of words you』d like to learn and designate one to be the word of the day. It goes without saying that the best way to learn how to speak a language is to actually speak it. Reading and studying grammar books will only get you so far.毫無疑問,說好一門外語最好方式就是說說說。畢竟閱讀和語法只能幫你到這裡。
And yet, it』s so easy to get trapped in the 「not-good-enough」 mindset, where you don』t speak because you think you don』t speak well enough. And then your speaking doesn』t get better.我們很容易就陷入「因為說不好,所以不願說;因為不願說,所以更說不好」的死胡同。
So make an effort to communicate with native speakers of your language. You』ll learn a lot more in a 5 minute conversation with a native Spanish speaker than you will from another English speaker who』s had 2 years of college Spanish. Part of learning to speak a foreign language properly is learning the intonations and rhythms of the words. In French, for example, you can』t put the emphasis on different words in a sentence to vary what you mean (like you can do in English). And it』s easy to distinguish beginner students from near-native speakers by listening for the ones who pronounce French like it』s English.口語學習的一個重要部分就是學習聲調和節奏。例如在一個句子中,將重音放在不同單詞上就會表達出不同的含義。初學者和高手的區別就在於是否會將英語說成中國味兒。

Figuring out the meaning of words can be tricky in a foreign language, since direct and accurate translations don』t always exist. While getting the word for physical objects, like milk or desk, might be straightforward, translating concepts can be a lot harder.通過中文來正確獲取英文單詞的含義有時可能不靠譜,因為真正直接、百分百準確的翻譯幾乎不存在。一些實物的單詞,如牛奶、桌子可能比較直截了當,但要翻譯一個概念則要難得多。

If you mistype a word, you should delete the whole word before retyping it correctly to reprogram your brain to do it properly the next time.
