方丈微語 三藏法師

佛經中對法師的定義是：「以法為師，以法師人」。意為以佛法做我們的老師，然後再以佛法去教化他人。

三藏法師，則是指精通佛教經、律、論三藏聖典的出家僧眾。也就是說，只有精通並奉行經、律、論三藏教理教義的法師，才有資格稱為三藏法師。

Tipi?akacariya (The masters of Three Baskets)

The definition of Dharma master in Buddhist scriptures is: 「take the Dharma as a teacher to teach the others". It means that the Dharma can be our teacher and then we are able to enlighten the others by the Dharma. Tipitakacariya refers to the monks who are proficient in Sūtra, Vinaya and Abhidharma. That is to say, only those Dharma masters who are proficient in and observe the teachings of Sūtra, Vinaya and Abhidharma can be qualified to be called Tipi?akacariya (Tripi?aka-ācariyain Sanskrit).
