The world's first subfloor of this kind has now been opened in the hockey facility of a renowned sports club in Krefeld in western Germany.

The use of carbon dioxide as a new raw material is a promising approach for making production in the chemical and plastics industries more sustainable.

The particularly sustainable new material comes from the materials manufacturer Covestro, which has developed a groundbreaking process for CO2 utilization to market maturity.

This can save up to one-fifth of crude oil in production – an innovative contribution to resource preservation and recycling management.

Boeing and Safran have received regulatory approvals for a joint venture so they can begin designing, building and servicing aircraft Auxiliary Power Units (APUs).

APU is an onboard engines that are primarily used to start the main engines and power aircraft systems while on the ground and, if necessary, in flight.

The agreement establishes a partnership between two of the world's leading aerospace companies to work together on APU products and expanded service capabilities to benefit customers and industry. Both companies have a 50 percent stake in the joint venture.

The business jet industry is expected to experience strong growth in the short to medium term, supported by several new airplane models coming to market and an improved used aircraft environment, according to Honeywell』s27th annual Global Business Aviation Outlook.


報告預測,自2019年至2028年,新公務機交付量將達到7700架,總值約2510億美元,較2017年的10年預測高出1至2個百分點。


The Global Business Aviation Outlook forecasts up to 7,700 new business jet deliveries worth $251 billion from 2019 to 2028, up 1 to 2 percentage points from the 2017 10-year forecast.


報告指出,公務機運營商在未來五年內採購的新機數量將佔據其現有機隊規模的20%,這些新機將替換或補充現有機隊。該數值較2017年調查結果提高了1%。

Operators plan to make new jet purchases equivalent to about 20 percent of their fleets over the next five years as replacements or additions to their current fleet, an increase of 1 percentage point compared with the 2017 survey results.

Of the total purchase plans for new business jets, 14 percent are expected to occur by the end of 2019, while 16 percent and 24 percent are scheduled for 2020 and 2021, respectively.

After watching the billionaires' respective Virgin Galaxy, Blue Origin, and SpaceX race to blast tourists out of the earth's atmosphere, NASA is considering a proposal to sell private citizens tickets aboard rockets to and from the International Space Station (ISS), the Washington Post reports.

Although this would be a first for the United States. NASA is still in the early stages of considering commercial space flight, a move that the agency hopes would return it to the public eye and bridge a gap with the private sector.

The Post notes that NASA could sell seats on crafts built by SpaceX or Boeing.
