lived an old mother fish and her little fishes two.

"Swim" said the mother. "We swim" said the two.

So they swam all day where the stream runs blue.

穿過那片綠油油的草地，一條小溪，流水淙淙，清澈見底，

住著金魚媽媽和它的兩隻金魚寶寶。

"游。" 金魚媽媽說。"我們游。" 小金魚們說。

所以它們一整天都在清澈見底的淙淙小溪里游著。

Over in the meadow in a hole in a tree,

lived an old mother owl and her little owls three.

"Tu-whoo" said the mother. "Tu-whoo" said the three.

So they tu-whooed all day in a hole in a tree.

穿過那片綠油油的草地，一棵大樹，幽深茂密，樹洞溫馨，

住著貓頭鷹媽媽和它的三隻小貓頭鷹寶寶們。

"嘿呼！" 貓頭鷹媽媽說。"嘿呼！"小貓頭鷹們說。

所以它們一整天都在茂密大樹的溫馨樹洞里嚷著。

Over in the meadow by the old barn door,

lived an old mother rat and her little ratties four.

"Gnaw" said the mother. "We gnaw" said the four.

So they gnawed all day by the old barn door.

穿過那片綠油油的草地，一個穀倉，簡陋不堪，破破舊舊，

住著老鼠媽媽和它的四隻老鼠寶寶們。

"啃"老鼠媽媽說。"啃!" 小老鼠們說。

所以它們一整天都在簡陋不堪破舊的穀倉門邊啃著。
