一、論壇簡介

跨越百廿路，開啟新甲子。

華中農大人正在努力奔跑，逐夢建設優勢學科國際一流、特色鮮明的世界知名研究型大學。

南湖國際青年科學家論壇由華中農業大學發起主辦，已經成功舉辦三屆，旨在搭建海內外優秀青年學者交流平台，共同探討學術前沿，加深友誼，尋找志同道合的小夥伴一起拼搏，一起奮鬥。

二、學科領域

從事生命科學（含生物學、生物醫學、作物學、植物保護、畜牧學、獸醫學、農業資源與環境、園藝學、林學、水產學）、環境科學、化學與材料科學、食品營養與健康、信息科學、工程科學、生態學、風景園林學、人文社會科學（含管理學、經濟學、社會學、法學）等領域。

三、申請條件

以夢為馬、務實重行，家國情懷、矢志創新。

在知名學術機構取得博士學位，具備獨立開展科學研究能力，在相關研究領域取得代表性成果，具有發展潛力的海內外優秀青年人才。

四、時間安排

2019年3月31日前，在線提交申請和個人簡歷，網址http://211.69.132.91；

2019年4月10日前，確定參會人員，發送邀請函（根據申請提交時間，主辦方會及時確定參會人員，分批發送邀請函）；

2019年5月10日，參會人員報到；

2019年5月11-12日，論壇開幕式，分領域特邀知名學者報告、青年學者學術報告、參觀座談等。

五、差旅及食宿

受邀參加論壇的青年學者自訂旅票，主辦方為參會學者提供城市交通費用（主要指現工作城市至武漢，以及必要的經停城市，其中機票按經濟艙實報實銷）和學術報告酬金。

論壇期間食宿由主辦方統一安排（免費）。

Announcement for the 4th South Lake Innovation Forum for International Young Talents

1. Brief Introduction

With a glorious history of 120 years, Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) is now facing a new era. We are striving to build HZAU into a world-famous, research-intensive university with world-class dominant disciplines and distinctive characteristics. Organized by HZAU, the South Lake Innovation Forum for International Young Talents, aims to gather outstanding young talents from home and abroad to explore academic frontier, to seek partners sharing the same goal, and to promote exchange and cooperation.

2. Disciplines

Following disciplines will be covered in the Forum:

3. Application Requirements

We are seeking persons who have ambitions and passions, run with the dream, being pragmatic and practical, have deep love for China, and have determination to innovation.

We welcome applicants who hold a doctoral degree from a world prestigious university, and have made outstanding achievements in scientific researches.

4. Schedule

March 31: Deadline for online application and C.V. uploading on website: http://211.69.132.91；

April 10: Selection of short-listed participants and issue of invitation letter；

May 10: Registration at forum venue；

May 11-12: Opening ceremony, experts reports, young scholars reports and visits, etc.

5. Travel and Accommodation

Intercity transportation cost (From working city to Wuhan and necessary transfer station, economy class) and accommodation expenses of all invited participants will be compensated. Generous remunerations will be given to participants as well.

Brief introduction of HZAU:

Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is on the list of 「Double First-Class」 university project. HZAU consists of 18 colleges and departments. There are more than 26, 000 students, 2600 staff and faculty members, of whom 1600 are full-time faculty.

HZAU features in discipline superiority and forms a pattern-that agricultural science dominated, life science featured and multidisciplinary development achieved which agriculture, science, engineering, culture, law, economics, management and arts. Botany and Zoology is listed among the top 1‰ in the ESI rankings. Eight disciplines rank among the top 1% of ESI, including Botany and Zoology, Agricultural Science, Biology & Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Genetics, Microbiology, Environmental Science/ Ecology, Chemistry, Engineering. Five disciplines are listed as first-class disciplines, including Biology, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture & Crop Science, and Agricultural and Forestry Economics & Management. Seven disciplines are listed in Class A in 2017 China Discipline Ranking. Horticulture，Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine are A plus, Biology is A, Food Science and Technology, Crop Science, Agricultural and Forestry Economics & Management are A minus.
