【新智元導讀】《權力的遊戲》終章第八季開播之際，來自慕尼黑工業大學的學生利用AI對角色的死亡率進行預測，結果顯示幾位主角中，龍媽可能活到劇終，三傻可能最快領便當。

粉絲和媒體們對第八季劇情分析一直沒斷過，大眾都是靠自己的想像力來給出可能的劇情，而一群參加慕尼黑工業大學（TUM）計算機科學研討會的學生不同，他們用機器學習預測了權力的遊戲主要人物的發展，最簡單粗暴的結果是預測誰會死亡。

演算法顯示：

• 龍媽（Daenerys Targaryen）倖存的機率最高，死亡率僅0.9％；
• 龍媽的國王之手小惡魔（Tyrion Lannister）也只有2.5％的死亡率；

最有可能死亡的角色包括：

僱傭兵波隆（Bronn）成為最可能涼涼的角色，死亡幾率高達93.5%，緊隨其後是瑟曦的貼身侍衛「魔山」Gregor Clegane，死亡幾率80.3%。而斯塔克家族裡面的「三傻」Sansa Stark死亡率也高達73.3%，弟弟布蘭（Bran Stark）緊隨其後。

AI預測權游角色生死

這群來自慕尼黑科技大學（TUM）和Rostlab的權游狂熱粉絲，爬取了A Wiki of Ice and Fire、Fandom Game of Thrones Wiki等網站的公用信息，使用JavaScript編寫機器學習演算法來預測權游角色的死亡率。

該項目由Guy Yachdav（Shupperz數據科學主觀）和Christian Dallago（TUM生物-計算機科學博士、科學研究員）主導，最初開始於慕尼黑大學在2016年舉辦的一次JS技術研討會。

實現過程

類似演算法應用於金融和醫療

該項目使用的壽命分析預測存活率的技術，類似於研究治療和併發症對癌症患者的影響的科學研究。關於生存機會演算法的工作是慕尼黑技術大學計算機科學系每學期舉辦的JavaScript研討會的一部分。在課程中，學生將學習如何設計、開發和部署智能計算機系統。

Your mission is to find character-place associations and put those associations on an interactive GoT map. Such a tool will help us figure out where did Gregor 「the hound」 Clegane went on his travels and how are these travels coincide with the travels of Breanne of Tarth (hint: they never crossed paths in the books, however they had a deadly duel during the show).

In this project you will be analyzing Twitter feeds across a timeline, you will look for the name of GoT characters in that feed and try to identify whether the tweet is positive or negative. You can then generate a metric that evaluates what is the accumulated sentiment expressed on Twitter for that given character at a given point in time, and what is the trend (positive, negative). It will be interesting to intersect the sentiments for characters following the airing of a certain episode (you can easily get the airing date for an episode from the database constructed in Project A).

AI撰寫權游同人小說：詹姆斯殺死了瑟曦

對於《冰與火這歌》小說的老讀者來說，等原著馬丁更新簡直太痛苦了。網路上也充斥著大量的冰火和權游的同人小說，而其中最特別的，要數早在2017年有人利用人工智慧撰寫的權游同人小說。

當時，權游和冰火的死忠、全棧軟體工程師Zack Thoutt剛剛完成了Udacity上的人工智慧和深度學習課程。於是利用自己學到的知識訓練了一個RNN，來預測當時拖更的第六部小說劇情。

當時他用AI寫出了五章，裡面的劇情有些逆天：

詹姆斯殺死了瑟曦、雪諾騎上了龍，太監瓦里斯殺了龍媽，AI還創建了一個名為Greenbeard的新角色……

由於馬丁的原著有大約32000個獨特單詞，額外的形容詞以及虛構的位置和標題對網路而言更加複雜，因此使得訓練網路變得更加困難。

另外，馬丁的五部小說的文本實際上也是一個相對較小的數據集，用於訓練RNN不太夠。Thoutt說，一個更理想的來源是一本100倍於該系列大小的書，但有一本兒童的書本辭彙量。

現在，Thoutt的小說已經寫完了5章，大家可以去閱讀。
