鋼琴

輕輕地，在黃昏，一位女子對我歌唱，

把我拉回舊時歲月的景象，我望見

一個小孩坐在鋼琴下，琴弦叮咚轟響，

他緊抱母親纖小沉穩的腳，她在微笑著歌唱。

我由不得自己，歌聲隱秘的魔力

引誘我回去，我的心流著淚

回到舊時星期天晚上的家，外面是冬季，

而溫暖的客廳里，叮咚彈起的鋼琴引導我們唱讚美詩。

現在這位縱情高唱的歌手

和激情奔放的黑色大鋼琴都無能為力。

迷人的童年浮現眼前，我的男子氣

全拋進記憶的洪水裡，為了往事我哭得像個孩子。

PIANO

Softly, in the dusk, a woman is singing to me;

Taking me back down the vista of years, till I see

A child sitting under the piano, in the boom of the tingling strings

And pressing the small, poised feet of a mother who smiles as she sings.

In spite of myself, the insidious mastery of song

Betrays me back, till the heart of me weeps to belong

To the old Sunday evenings at home, with winter outside

And hymns in the cosy parlour, the tinkling piano our guide.

So now it is vain for the singer to burst into clamour

With the great black piano appassionato. The glamour

Of childish days is upon me, my manhood is cast

Down in the flood of remembrance, I weep like a child for the past.

D.H.勞倫斯 | David Herbert Lawrence

1885年9月11日—1930年3月2日，20世紀英國作家，是20世紀英語文學中最重要的人物之一，也是最具爭議性的作家之一，主要成就包括小說、詩歌、戲劇、散文、遊記和書信。他寫過詩，但主要寫長篇小說，共有10部，最著名的為《虹》（1915）、《愛戀中的女人》（1921）和《查特萊夫人的情人》（1928）。

1890 年7 月3 日，陳寅恪出生。他對妻子唐篔的愛情始終如一，或屬於他的「愛情五等論」中第四等—「則為夫婦終身而無外遇者」。晚年的陳寅恪失明，唐篔一直陪在身邊照顧他。陳寅恪的許多詩篇都是她一筆一畫筆錄下來的。
