A heart-warming story tells of a womanwho finally decided to ask her boss fora raise in salary. All day she felt nervous and apprehensive .Later in theafternoon she summoned-the courage to approach her employer. To her delight,the boss agreed to a raise.

有一個感人的故事，講的是有個女人終於決定向老闆提出加薪的要求，她·整天都焦慮不安，下午晚些時候，她終於鼓起勇氣向老闆表明J自己的想法讓她感到高興的是，老闆同意給她加薪。

The woman arrived home that evening to abeautiful table set with their best dishes.Candles were softly glowing. Herhusband had come home early and prepared a festive meal. She wondered ifsomeone from the office had tipped him off"", or... did he just somehow knowthat she would not get turned down?

當晚，女人回家後，發現餐桌擺設漂亮，菜肴豐盛，燭光搖曳。丈夫提早回家準備了這頓慶祝宴。她心想，會不會是辦公室里有人向他通風報信了呢?或者……他不知怎麼竟知道她不會被拒絕呢?

She found him in the kitchen and told himthe good news. They embraced and kissed, then sat down to the wonderful meal.Next to her plate the woman found a beautifully lettered note. It read:"Congratulations, darling! I knew you"d get the raise! These things willtell you how much I love you."

Following the supper, her husband went intothe kitchen to clean up. She noticed that a second card had fallen from hispocket. Picking it off the floor, she read: "Don"t worry about not gettingthe raise! You deserve it anyway! These things will tell you how much I loveyou."

晚餐後，丈夫到廚房洗碗她注意到又有張卡片從他口袋裡掉了出來，她檢起卡片，上面寫著:「別因沒有加薪而煩惱!不管怎樣，是該給你加薪了!今晚我想讓你知道，我有多麼愛你」

Someone has said that the measure of loveis when you love without measure. What this man feels for his spouse is totalacceptance and love, whether she succeeds or fails. His love celebrates hervictories and soothes her wounds. He stands with her, no matter what lifethrows in their direction.
