方丈微語 轉迷成悟
轉迷成悟
迷和悟是相對的，迷就不悟，悟就不迷。不迷，就是聖者，不悟，就是凡夫。凡夫愚昧，不明宇宙緣起無常的事相，所以執我執法，起惑造業，流浪生死，長淪苦海。佛號覺者，覺而不迷，有大智慧，對於人生宇宙緣起的事相，有透徹的理解，知道是緣生性空，緣起無我，不再執著，造惡業，自尋煩惱，以招苦果。這便是迷悟的界線，也就是聖凡的分野。
Transforming ignorance into enlightenment
Ignorance and enlightenment are opposites, ignorance is not enlightenment, and enlightenment is not ignorance. Non-ignorance, it is a saint. Non-enlightenment, it is a mundane person. Ignorant mundane people do not understand dependent arising of the impermanence of universe--things as they really are (yathābhūta). Therefore, they are attached to themselves and the Dharma, creating confusion and karmas, wandering about life and death, and ending up in misery. The Enlightened, the name of the Buddha, is enlightened and not ignorant, and has great wisdom. He has a thorough understanding of the dependent arising of life and the universe. He knows that the dependent arising is the nature of emptiness and dependent arising is no self. He is no longer self-attached, creating evil deeds and self-seeking troubles to incur bitter karmas. This is the boundary line of ignorance and enlightenment, that is, the dividing line between the saint and the mundane.
